Tracking down a man using stolen checks. The man was caught on surveillance video using checks stolen from a business last month. He even used one of them to buy a mother's day present. This has been a nightmare for the victims and they hope someone recognizes the man so he can be stopped.

News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright says Angie and her husband run their business out of their east Tulsa home. Someone broke in on Friday, May 6th and rummaged through their desk and stole their commercial checks, then ransacked two bedrooms and stole a safe, jewelry, an Xbox and several rifles, leaving only the BB guns behind.

As bad as that was, the worst part of the crime actually happened a week later when someone started using the stolen checks. "I'm furious still, even though it was May 6th, still when I walk in my house or my bedroom, I get angry. I didn't know it would feel like this til it happens to you."

The man wrote most of them for under $50 and generally to Kum and Go convenience stores. One of those stores refused to take the check and kept this surveillance video of the suspect and gave it to Angie. None of her family or friends recognizes the man, but she hopes someone does. "I really think this guy is one who came in and robbed us or is the link to the person who did it.â€

Even though they've closed that account and opened another, some stores now refuse to accept their checks; they feel their business name and reputation is now tarnished despite all their hard work. "Never have we been given anything in our whole lives. The whole time we've been together, we've had to work and struggle and they just come in and take it. It's a horrible experience."
