There's still no word on what caused a chemical leak over the weekend. It happened in northern Rogers County near Chelsea.
Officials say a parked Burlington Northern rail car leaked Muriatic, or hydrochloric acid. The Chelsea Fire Department, Rogers County Sheriff, and the county emergency management team cleared a perimeter about 650-feet around the car.
Air tests were conducted, and officials say the air was cleared of toxic vapors. The leak was in a rural area, so only one family had to be evacuated as a precaution.
Muriatic acid is used as a cleaning agent for engines. It can affect the respiratory system.
