OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma Senate votes unanimously on a measure supporters say will save rural hospitals across the state.
The Senate voted Tuesday to instruct conference committee members to add language to Senate Bill 944 that will allow hospitals to impose a less than one percent fee on themselves.
The fee will recoup millions of federal Medicaid matching dollars.
President Pro Tempore Mike Morgan says the fee will raise $93 million that will be matched by more than $200 million in federal Medicaid funding.
