Lines of people showed up at Tulsa's Shredders Inc over the weekend for a chance to shred their personal documents for free.

Shredding is an easy way to keep your personal information out of the hands of identity thieves. The News on 6 teamed up with Shredders Inc and the Better Business Bureau for Shredfest.

We're told more than three tons of documents were put into the shredders, some papers dated back to the 1960's.

The event was so successful, their planning another free Shredding event for October.
