OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Construction is to begin November 1st on a $135-million American Indian Cultural Center in Oklahoma City.
The center and museum is to be built on 300 acres along the Oklahoma River between Interstates 35 and 40 and Eastern Avenue. It is expected to showcase the story of the state's 39 federally recognized tribes.
The center is to open on Oklahoma's centennial -- November 16th, 2007.
