WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A lawyer for the former head of the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center says he wants a detailed list of all the artifacts his client is accused of stealing.
Wichita attorney Lee Thompson represents former Cosmosphere chief executive Max Ary. Thompson says the charges are too vague, and do not give Ary enough information to defend himself.
Ary faces 19 federal counts of stealing and selling artifacts from the Hutchinson museum. The list includes the nose of a rocket, an astronaut's in-flight T-shirt, a control panel from Air Force One and an Apollo 12 water valve. He denies any wrongdoing.
Thompson says he expects a response on the motion sometime next week.
Ary is now executive director of the Kirkpatrick Science and Air Space Museum at Omniplex in Oklahoma City. He is on leave.
