Hundreds of local kids are home from the hospital, but they weren't there because they were sick.
Saint Francis hosted the annual "Kids Are Special People" day on the front lawn of the hospital on Tuesday. Students visited different tents to learn the importance of good health and wellness.
The goal was to educate them in a fun way. Rich Gray with St Francis Hospital: "We just hope that they learn a lot and have a lot of good times too. There's a lot of fun going on. These presenters put a lot of fun into it. It's serious, but they put a lot of humor into it."
600 students and lots of teachers attended the event.
