OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ One of the driest Aprils in Oklahoma history is having an impact on the state's hay suppliers.

Troy Hinkle of Purcell is making trips to Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska to supply hay to horse and dairy operations in McClain County.

The Oklahoma Climatological survey reports that Oklahoma's central and south-central regions endured the second-driest April since records began in 1921.

Climatologists reported 1-point-32 inches of rainfall this month in the central region, second only to point-75 inches of rain recorded in 1936. The south-central region produced 1-point-48 inches of rain, second to the 1-point-oh-5 inches of rainfall that hit the region in 1956.
