Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a park in the 1700 block of Charles Page Boulevard, the third shooting call of the day.
Instead of another victim, they found the suspect in a shooting that had happened hours before. Hours earlier, officers had gotten a report that a shooting victim had been found lying on the curb at 60th and Peoria.
The callers claimed to be Good Samaritans who found the victim. They say they took him to a hospital, where he died. But officers went to the scene and found no evidence to confirm the report.
After deputies arrested the suspect on Charles Page, investigators say the people who claimed to be Good Samaritans changed their story. Tulsa County Sheriff Captain Howard Peeples: “they originally said it happened at 61 and Peoria, however they're finding out now that it was part of this scene out here."
Authorities are questioning the two people along with the suspect. Officials haven't yet released the name of the victim.
