OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Former U.S. Rep. and Hall of Fame wide receiver Steve Largent suffered a mild stroke and has been urged to see a neurologist, he said.
The former Republican lawmaker, now head of the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association, went to a Virginia hospital April 13 after feeling tired and not ``very coherent.''
Largent stayed at the hospital two nights, had tests and was told he had had a mild stroke, he told The Oklahoman.
Two days later Largent, 50, was playing tennis and jogging, and returned to work last week but still wasn't feeling that well.
Largent said Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., a physician and good friend, urged him to see a specialist the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
