OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ School officials say they're concerned common education isn't getting enough money on top of lottery and gaming revenues.
Education Department Chief of Staff Lealon Taylor says the 144,000,000 increase in common ed funding for the 2006 fiscal year should be added to lottery revenues.
He says education is now receiving only about 13 percent of new-growth money. Traditionally, education gets about 36 percent in new-growth money.
Chris Benge -- chairman of the House budget committee -- says no specific numbers for common education and higher education have been agreed to.
Benge says those figures will be worked out between House and Senate budget committees.
