OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A former Oklahoma City bank executive now living in Colorado faces up to 30 years in prison after being convicted on federal charges of bank fraud and conspiracy.
Gary Flanders was found guilty on six counts and also faces a $1-million fine. A sentencing date hasn't been set.
Flanders was president and chief executive of Metrobank -- now called Bridgeview Bank -- before being indicted in November 2003 in federal court in Oklahoma City.
Prosecutors say Flanders and associate David Solomon used Flanders' authority at the bank to create and manipulate loans and using the proceeds for their own benefit.
