A Tulsa woman says she's frustrated that the case against her attacker has still not gone to trial, nearly a year later.
Pam Woodard gave a stranger a ride last July from midtown Tulsa to west Tulsa. She says once they arrived, 19 year-old Brandon Rice[pictured right], sliced her throat with a razor blade. She drove into a family's yard for help.
Pam Woodard: "I just started praying real loud, let somebody hear me and walked across the street and those people did help and I asked them to call my mom. I was just holding my throat and had I not done that, I would've bled to death right there because I'd lost so much blood."
Pam spent eight days in the hospital. She applied for help from the crime victim's fund to pay her medical bills, she was turned down. She was told she used bad judgment picking up a stranger.
The case has had many delays. Records show Rice's attorney has now requested a competency hearing, saying Rice has a long history of mental illness.
