OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma County residents spent Monday cleaning up after a possible tornado ripped off some roofs and toppled power lines over the weekend.
Authorities say no one was injured when the possible twister hit areas east of Oklahoma City Sunday night, and nearly 1,100 people were left without power at the storm's height. Power was restored to residents about midnight.
Mike Hasel says he watched a funnel cloud pass over his underground house.
Hasel says there was some damage to his barn, trees and fences.
He spent the day clearing debris and checking on the welfare of his more than 30 horses.
A call from a friend alerted Hasel that a strong storm was about a half-mile from his house.
The road to Hasel's home was closed to allow Oklahoma Gas and Electric crews to repair wind-damaged power poles and lines.
