OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma City is the place to be this week if you like horses.
The 17th Annual Oklahoma Centennial Horse Show begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday at the State Fair Arena.
Horses and riders from 14 states will compete at the event, which has more than 300 horses entered, including American saddlebred, Morgan and hackney ponies.
Show manager Fern Bittner says the event is also a qualifying show, so horses and riders who win can advance to regional events.
The show, which was started in 1989, may include as much as $50,000 in prize money.
Bittner says the event brings in an estimated $1-million in tourism to Oklahoma City.
Admission to the show is free.
