Another phase of the Main Mall project in downtown Tulsa is complete.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday to kick off the opening of Main Street from 4th to 6th Streets. The project also included improvements between Boulder and Boston Avenues on 5th Street. The renovations include new street lighting, landscaping, benches and a fountain.

The area has important meaning for the Dewey Bartlett family. Dewey Bartlett Jr: "Many times when things, not in this case, keep it in place."

Tuesday's opening of Main Street was the second phase of the project. The first phase was completed two years ago.
