A deadly school bus accident Tuesday afternoon in Payne County.
A pick-up hauling a cattle trailer hit a school bus with 12-students on board Tuesday afternoon along Highway 18, near Cushing in Payne County. Two people were killed.
Ripley High School student Sandra Combs of Agra and truck driver Carl Tarver of Cushing.
A substitute driver was behind the wheel of the bus. The regular bus driver says she feels like she's lost a member of her own family in the accident. School bus driver Tonya Ames: "My heart goes out to the family. Because I know I won't see her. And I am truly sorry for that."
State troopers and Federal investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
Counselors will be on hand today at Ripley Schools to help students deal with the tragedy.
