OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Truck drivers are being asked to be on the lookout for a hitchhiker wanted in the death of a Chandler woman.

Authorities are searching for Bobby Joe McCauley in the death of Amanda Ann Phillips-Bateman, whose body was found Wednesday in a state park near Lexington, Tennessee.

Police say Bateman picked up McCauley early Monday as she drove from Chandler to her parents' home in Franklin, Tennessee. Authorities say he later used Bateman's cell phone to call a relative in Georgia who told police McCauley claimed to have stabbed a woman.

FBI Agent Jon Stephens says McCauley is a transient who solicits rides from truckers and carries a portable CB radio to talk with truck drivers.
