The News on 6 has been following the investigation into the death of Zachary Fry, a healthy 6 year-old boy that died after a routine trip to the dentist.
A year after the investigation began; Zach's parents still don't know who caused his death, so they've taken matters into their own hands.
Jim and Lana Fry and Zach's mother, Janet Brown, have filed a lawsuit against the Muskogee dentist that treated Zach and Kirk's Drug Store, which mixed the cocktail of sedatives he took before his procedure.
Jim Fry says he is tired of not knowing the truth. "I miss holding him. I miss everything about him. Because of one person's mistake and nobody's coming forward and saying 'hey I messed up.'"
The state dental board has cleared Dr. Edward Tarr of wrongdoing in Zach's death. The Fry’s' attorney is looking into a grand jury investigation, to examine how Zach could die from a lethal dose of methadone, which was not supposed to be part of his dental cocktail.
