OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Republican House Speaker Todd Hiett wants Democratic Governor Brad Henry to help pass Republican-supported legislation, including a workers' compensation and lawsuit reform.
Meanwhile, the governor is calling for ``speedy, bipartisan action'' by the Republican-controlled House on his legislative agenda.
Hiett says the House has passed Republican-supported bills, including parts of the governor's agenda. But he says he needs Henry's help in getting the bills through the Democratic-controlled Senate.
Much of Henry's agenda has passed the Senate and is pending in the House. Henry's proposals include a plan to lower prescription drug prices, a separate workers' comp plan, a program to help National Guard members and their families, nursing home reform and teacher pay raises.
