6 In The Morning anchor Casey Norton took time out Thursday to Read Across America, well at least across Jenks.

The 9th annual Read Across America program was held Thursday, which is also the birthday of famous children's book author, Dr. Suess. It is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading.

Many people volunteered to read to elementary school children across the Oklahoma and the nation. Casey went to Jenks West Elementary School to read.
