Ice on US Highway 169 contributed to a traffic accident that sent one person to the hospital during the morning rush hour.

Tulsa Police say a woman was northbound when she lost control of her car, hit a patch of ice and struck the wall near 11th Street. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution but is expected to be okay.

Traffic had to be diverted until the accident was cleaned up.
