Tulsa Police are investigating a bizarre crime. A woman's nose is bitten off and she says her boyfriend did it.
6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says the couple, 37-year old Jody Bennett and her boyfriend, Greg Hill, are both from California, but are in town visiting. This all started when the couple and others sat down to eat a family dinner. That's when Bennett came out of a back room with a bloody napkin over her face and said her boyfriend had bitten her nose off.
Hill denies the accusation, but was booked into the Tulsa County jail for aggravated assault and battery, resisting arrest and destroying evidence.
Tulsa Police looked around for the bitten-off piece of nose, but couldn't find it. Investigators think Hill might have swallowed it, but aren't sure. They talked to medical personnel about pumping the boyfriend's stomach, but doctors said since the nose is made out of cartilage, stomach acids would have dissolved the tissue.
Investigators are still trying to figure out why this happened and find out where the piece of the woman's nose ended up.
Hill's in the Tulsa County jail on a $25,500 bond.
