Two people injured, one critically, in a Broken Arrow traffic accident

A woman hits a Broken Arrow teenager with her car, and then is struck by an SUV when she tries to help the young victim. It happened at Aspen and Houston in Broken Arrow, which is near 81st and 145th.

Broken Arrow Police say 18-year-old Amanda Cook accidentally struck a 15-year-old walking in the road. When Cook stopped to help, police say she was hit by an SUV driven by a Kendell Arnold.

Cook was flown by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital and is in critical condition. The 15-year-old was treated and released from a Tulsa hospital.

Both collisions are under investigation.
