Two people are dead following a single vehicle traffic accident on US highway 75 north of Tulsa.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a truck driver noticed the wrecked car in the creek bed just north of downtown Friday morning. Investigators say the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

It appears the car ran off the road, hit a bridge abutment before dropping into the creek bed. A man and woman where found dead in the car.

No names have been released.
