A Tulsa Police officer is recovering after being involved in an accident at a busy intersection Monday afternoon.

The officer was driving with his lights and sirens on through the intersection at 71st and Mingo, when he was hit by another driver. The driver told police she was talking on her cell phone and didn't see him.

The officer was taken to be checked for minor injuries, but will be okay. The other driver was okay too.
