OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Officials with the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative are examining whether the program has helped reduce the number of divorces in Oklahoma.

The initiative originally detailed a plan to reduce divorce by a third by the year 2010. Officials don't have divorce rate figures at this time.

They say they have recently redefined the program's goals toward increasing the number of children living in healthy, two-parent homes.

The initiative was launched in 2000 by former Governor Frank Keating. The program has cost the state about $10-million.

More than 1,500 volunteers have been trained in the curriculum, delivering services to 37,500 people.
