GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) A tractor-trailer hauling rolls of paper catches fire along Interstate 35 in Logan County, sparking a grass fire that burned about 10 acres.
Guthrie Fire Captain Steve Porter says they're still not sure what caused the fire in the truck, but says mechanical problems may have been a factor. He says the driver managed to escape from the cab uninjured before the fire spread to the back of the rig.
The fire -- which happened about 4 o-clock Wednesday -- engulfed the paper cargo and spread to a field on the east side of the highway. Porter says the blaze burned about 10 acres and destroyed nine hay bales.
