NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A family connection forces a Cleveland County judge to recuse himself from presiding over the trial of a man accused of killing a University of Oklahoma ballet student.

District Judge Tom Lucas removed himself from the case Tuesday after learning his son -- detective Steve Lucas -- is scheduled to testify against Anthony Sanchez.

Prosecutors have charged Sanchez with first-degree murder, rape and kidnapping in the 1996 death of Juli Busken.

Investigators believe the Busken was abducted from the parking lot her Norman apartment, taken to Lake Stanley Draper, raped and killed.
