Tulsa mayor Bill LaFortune has presented the City Council with his recommendations for improvements to be funded by the 2006 third penny sales tax extension.
"The third penny is all about infrastructure, infrastructure in terms of streets, sewers, flood control, but also competing with other city's, the need to have infrastructure that spurs economical development."
LaFortune's proposal totals $437-million and will be used for several projects, including river development, public safety and street improvements.
The council will review the project list, discuss changes and submit a final proposition to voters in the spring of 2006.
