One man is in the Tulsa County jail after going on an early morning beer-run in a stolen car.

Tulsa Police were called just after 3:30 AM Monday to the Food Mart near the 1800 block of North Sheridan. Investigators say the store clerk tried to stop the 20 year-old suspect, but let him go after seeing what he thought was a gun in the suspect's waistband.

He says the man took off on foot, leaving his car behind. That car was later found out to be stolen.

Officers eventually found the suspect hiding in another car outside an apartment complex a few blocks away.
