A Tulsa family holiday tradition has been canceled this year. The Tulsa Zoo will not be turning the lights on at Zoolightful this year.

Organizers say the month long event is too costly because not enough families attend. An effort to boost attendance last year by adding an ice rink and live reindeer didn't work.

Zoolightful was canceled in 2002 and 2003 for the same reason.
