Mayflower feast held

A Tulsa church has found a unique way to celebrate Thanksgiving. Parents and children from Southwood Baptist Church at 41st and US highway 169 ate a Thanksgiving feast Monday on board the Mayflower.

A Tulsa church has found a unique way to celebrate Thanksgiving. Parents and children from Southwood Baptist Church at 41st and US highway 169 ate a Thanksgiving feast Monday on board the Mayflower.

It was really a "Mayflower" moving truck.

Southwood's youth pastor says the kids had a blast and learned an important lesson. Jamie Pendelton: “truly, every day ought to be Thanksgiving. And that's what we're trying to express with these children and we teach each day, that Christ's love is every day and our thankfulness should be every day."

The kids also made their own decorations for Monday's Thanksgiving feast.
