The News on 6 hit the road again Tuesday to announce more winners in our Friday Football Fever Battle of the Bands competition.

Our panel of experts picked the Checotah High School band as the Class 3A Battle of the Bands winner.

News on 6 anchor Craig Day presented them with a check for $1,000 from Jim Glover Chevrolet and the News on 6.The band will use the money for new equipment.

Checotah High School band director Jim Davis: "Total surprise. We've got a good group of kids, young people here. Very proud of them. I know there are a lot of great bands in this state, and we just appreciate that ya'll are recognizing us today."
