OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of people killed on Oklahoma roadways this year continues to fall below the number of traffic fatalities of last year.

The state Department of Public safety says 640 people have died in traffic accidents this year, 36 fewer than the 676 at this time in 2004.

But the number of traffic deaths during November is up this year. DPS says 18 people have died so far this month, up from 12 at this point in November last year.
