OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The head of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department announced Thursday that he's stepping down, saying he wants to pursue new career opportunities.
Executive Director Robb Gray says he submitted his letter of resignation today to Commerce and Tourism Secretary Kathryn Taylor.
In a press release, the 32-year-old Gray says he has decided to pursue a different position with another organization. He didn't elaborate.
Gray -- who earned more than 82-thousand dollars a year -- has served as executive director since September of 2004. He previously worked as the department's chief of staff and legislative liaison.
Before joining the agency, Gray was a fiscal analyst for the state Senate and worked as an intelligence analyst for the CIA.
