An execution date has been set for a man convicted of killing a security guard during a botched bank robbery last year.
A Tulsa County jury found Wade Lay guilty and sentenced him to die for murdering MidFirst bank security guard Kenneth Anderson. A judge set his execution for December 26th.
It's sure to be postponed. Lay is appealing the death sentence and will have a hearing for a new trial on December 1st.
Wade Lay's son, Christopher, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for his role in the murder.
