MIAMISBURG, Ohio (AP) _ The Dayton-area Huffy Corporation has emerged from reorganization under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy code after receiving a 50 million-dollar loan.
The 117-year-old bicycle-and-sporting-goods company filed for reorganization last October, citing losses largely from a Canadian sports-equipment company.
Huffy says its board of directors has been reconstituted and that its new chairman is the executive vice president of the China Export and Credit Corporation.
Huffy currently has 130 workers.
