OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A rash of complaints from Oklahomans is prompting Attorney General Drew Edmondson to warn consumers never to give out personal or financial information over the telephone.
Edmondson says his Consumer Protection Unit has seen an increase over the last week of complaints from consumers. Most say they've been contacted over the telephone with offers to deposit money into their personal bank accounts.
Some of the callers offer money in various forms, including grants, shopping sprees, prize packages and even government loans.
