NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A California-based software firm is planning to open an office in Norman and eventually hire about 200 employees in the next 18 months to two years.
Software Development Technologies will open an office on State Highway 9 near the Norman Business Park. SDT chief executive Edward Kit says he plans to hire University of Oklahoma graduates and information systems students.
Kit says he chose Norman over about a dozen other areas because of the city's central location, the availability of technically trained employees and an overall ease of doing business.
Kit says SDT develops and markets software testing tools and is headquartered in San Jose, California, and has other operations in New Hampshire and India.
