The 2005 Tulsa State Fair is a now a memory. Monday, fair vendors packed up their booths and the rides on the midway came down.

Officials with the Tulsa State Fair say this year was quite a success even though they didn't reach their attendance goal of one million people. Preliminary numbers show 971,449 people attended the fair during the ten days it was up and running. That is just over 36,000 more than last year's fair.

Gate sales were up 12 percent and concession sales were up 5 percent from last year.
