IDABEL, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say a man accused of shooting a woman to death with a hunting bow will be prosecuted in Oklahoma if he doesn't get the death penalty in a separate trial in Arkansas.
Mickey David Thomas has been charged with murder and robbery in connection with the 2004 death of Geraldine Jones of Broken Bow. He is on trial in Arkansas in connection with two other homicides.
Thomas told police he was at Jones' garage sale when he used a hunting bow to shoot two arrows into Jones' chest, according to court records.
Investigators think Jones' death was one of a string of crimes Thomas committed across southern Oklahoma and Arkansas.
