STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ With two weeks to go before the regular season, coach Mike Gundy says depth remains a concern for Oklahoma State's football team.

OSU has a firm starter at quarterback, three solid targets at wide receiver, a returning starter at tailback and an offensive line that's beginning to come together. But it's those players' backups that aren't a sure thing.

Gundy said after last night's scrimmage that when OSU's starters are on the field that the Cowboys are a good football team, but that a few injuries could make a difference in the season because of the depth issues.

Gundy says it's important for the Cowboys to stay healthy and continue to work on developing young players in practice.

Gundy says his coaching staff hopes to have a firm grasp on the team's depth chart toward the end of this week.

After that, the coaches can talk to players about what their roles will be when the season starts September 2nd against Missouri State.
