OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ University of Oklahoma baseball player Kody Kaiser is making it official and transferring to Oklahoma City University.
OCU made the announcement in a news release Thursday.
Kaiser will be a junior and is immediately eligible to play for OCU.
Kaiser announced earlier this week he would leave the Sooners where he was a second-team Freshman All-American two years ago and hit .306 for OU as a sophomore last year.
OU head coach Sunny Golloway is Kaiser's uncle and Kaiser said there were some complaints from other Sooner players about nepotism.
Kaiser asked for his release from OU which would've allowed him to transfer to another Division One school and play immediately, but the request was denied.
