A Tulsa man is clinging to life after a shooting in Tulsa. It happened in the 700 Block of North Zenith where after a brief standoff, Tulsa Police arrested a teenage suspect.
Neighbors were the one's who called for help after finding the victim lying in the street.
Police say the victim is in his 30's and was shot inside his car in the Gilcrease neighborhood. He tried to get help, but collapsed in the street. He'd been shot in the lower back and leg.
The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Neighborhood residents are shocked. Janey Fuselier: "Nothing in Gilcrease ever happens like this. I've been here 11 years. We're all family. Everybody has kids. This is the last thing I would ever think would happen here in Gilcrease. It's shocking and kind of scary because it's just two houses down from my house."
As Tulsa Police talked to witnesses, the suspect called them several times. Police traced the call and found it was coming from just a few blocks away near Union and Independence.
A 17-year-old was arrested without any problems after a one and a half hour standoff. He could be charged with shooting with intent to kill.
