The Wagoner County DA’s office says it will seek the death penalty for a Wagoner man in connection with the death of the man’s wife in April.

Wagoner County District Attorney Richard Gray says Colbert Dean Shoemaker is charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife, Stacy Shoemaker. She was murdered on April 30th of this year. Gray’s office filed paperwork on Friday citing aggravating circumstances associated with the death of Stacy Shoemaker.

Shoemaker’s preliminary hearing on the murder charge is set for Friday in Wagoner County District Court.
