OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ After posting three straight shutouts, the Oklahoma RedHawks' pitching falls apart in the eighth inning of an 11-to-8 loss to the Tucson Sidewinders.
Tucson battered six Oklahoma pitchers for 17 hits Sunday night and each of the Sidewinders' starters had at least one hit.
Eight of those hits came three Oklahoma pitchers during a 9-run eighth inning.
Oklahoma led 8-to-2 entering the inning, but Tucson picked up a 3-run home run from Chris Carter and a 2-run homer from Chris Young. Young's shot put the Sidewinders ahead 11-to-8.
The RedHawks had entered the game on a club-record 30-inning scoreless streak, posted in parts of four games against the Las Vegas 51s. Tucson ended that streak with a run in the first inning.
Tucson reliever Casey Daigle -- the husband of U-S softball star Jennie Finch -- was the beneficiary of the Sidewinders' late rally, picking up the win to move to 3-and-4 on the baseball season.
Kevin Walker took the loss for the RedHawks.
