MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say a Muskogee man is in critical condition after a pipe bomb he was making blew up in his lap.

Muskogee County Sheriffâ€™s deputies say Charles Thompson lost a finger on his left hand and has leg and stomach injuries from the blast Sunday morning.

Deputy Jeff Smith says investigators also found what's believed to be a methamphetamine lab, a pipe used in smoking marijuana and an ATV that was reported stolen in Oklahoma City.
