An environmental group says global warming threatens America's national parks. The Natural Resources Defense Council says rising temperatures, droughts, wildfires and fewer snowfalls are endangering wildlife and threatening hiking, fishing and skiing.
The report says streams and lakes are getting too warm for trout and cold water fish. It also claims Yellowstone National Park grizzly bears are losing major food sources because of heat-loving beetles.
The latest Oklahoma Poll indicates more Oklahomans believe climate change is real. The News on 6, Tulsa World poll shows 37-percent don't know enough about the topic and believe there needs to be more research. 46-percent of those we surveyed say global warming needs either immediate or some attention. 11 percent believe there is nothing to worry about.
Republican US Senator Jim Inhofe fits into that last category. He has said global warming is a hoax. The Oklahoma Poll shows only 20-percent agree with him. 68-percent disagree with him.
You can learn more about the poll in Friday's Tulsa World.
