OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ New Orleans Hornets owner George Shinn says the purchase of the Seattle SuperSonics by a group of Oklahoma City businessmen will have no effect on the Hornets.

Shinn today said his team's plans haven't changed and that they're still headed back to New Orleans.

Shinn also says he hasn't spoken with Clay Bennett -- who headed up the Oklahoma City group -- since the purchase was made last Tuesday.

The Hornets are about to spend their second season in Oklahoma City, where the team temporarily relocated after Hurricane Katrina.

Shinn says things are moving in a positive direction in New Orleans, and that all indicators are that the team will return there after next season.
